RISE AGAIN, like the Phoenix!
I walked the Camino de Santiago in 2022 because I made a major change in my life. I went from 300 to 185 pounds. I was a new person. When I heard about the Camino I knew I had to celebrate my rebirth, my rising again. By the time I was walking I also wanted to change my career. I asked the question, "Should I stay at the company I had been at for 12 years or start my own business?"
I asked the Camino to give me a sign. Six months later, the company went out of business. I had my sign. I was laid off in June 2023 and I decided to walk the Portuguese Camino to celebrate that change. I am now working on building my new businesses. The Hiking Happiness Store is one of those. My daughter tells me I am the most resilient person she has ever know. I am always reinventing myself when I encounter bad times. I created this image of the Phoenix as my symbol. To celebrate my rising again.
